About Authentic Acupuncture

In Chinese medicine to practice authentic acupuncture means practicing at the most advanced level. It enables the practitioner to evaluate imbalances of the vital energy, the basis of all functional illness within the patient. Pulse diagnosis means very few points are used and sometimes only one point is required. More primitive methods only puncture the place of pain or use many needles in memorised formulas. Both treat the symptom (branch) rather than eliminating the cause (root).
